On Sunday morning at my Paper crafts Retreat everyone made one of these wreaths. Aren’t they gorgeous? I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but the Festival of Trees bundle from the Autumn-Winter Catalogue has just been flying off the shelves in the warehouse! 😉 This particular wreath I’ve designed just uses the Tree punch on it’s own.
I can’t take any credit for the wonderful colour palette, as I’ve just taken the colours out of the All Is Calm Designer Series Paper. Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Whisper White and even some gorgeous silver foil designs.
I’ve taken photograph directions of how I made the wreath as they are so simple to make. The paper stripes I cut were 1 inch / 2.5cm wide and wrapped around the polystyrene ring once or twice and fastened with pins. I pushed the pins in with a small sided clear block. You continue wrapping the pattern paper strips around the wreath, in a pattern if you wish, until you meet the start. I used the Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon to tidy up any areas and add a bit of detail. It was also used as the hanger.
To decorate the wreath I used the Tree punch with some of the large Rhinestones onto a 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. At the top is a bow from the Gift Bow Bigz Die and lastly the sweet Snowflake Embellishments with Whisper White Baker’s Twine in a bow.
Here is everyone showing off their wreaths. 🙂
